Praise In The Storm

I really had high hopes for 2012.  So far, it’s been much more difficult than I could have anticipated.  That’s not very encouraging, considering we’re not even halfway through February.  So this week, as my heart aches, as I’m weary and discouraged and exhausted, I’m clinging to HIS word.
I’m reminding myself that He is here every step of the way.  [And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.  Matthew 28:20]
It hurts.  It will leave a scar.  But the great physician is tending to it.  [He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.  Psalm 147:3]
I will find shelter and rest.  [Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.  Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.  Psalm 62:5-6]
And I will regain my strength. [But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  Isaiah 40:31]
Because even though our lives are ever-changing, the world is ever-changing, and we may face countless ups and downs, HE does not change.  [Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.  Hebrews 13:8]
